In letzter Zeit weiss ich nicht mehr so recht was ich zeigen soll, u deshalb werde ich zukuenftig nicht mehr jeden Tag 'posten', sondern nur noch wenn ich was Interessantes habe. Mein Sommer ist so voll von Aktivitaeten... aber alles gut!! Das hoffe ich auch von euch. Also bis demnaechst!

Last week at the evaluations for the County Fair I watched this girl on her huge horse. I thought she looked cool.
Letzte Woche bei der Reitvorstellung ist mir dieses Maedchen mit ihrem Riesenpferd aufgefallen. Irgendwie sieht es 'cool' aus.

It seems like yesterday, that they were in blossom and now you can eat them already. Whenever I walk and pick a few to eat I feel like I am getting a little treat.
Es kommt mir vor als haetten die Walderdbeeren gerade erst geblueht u nun kann man sie schon essen. Immer wenn ich laufe u mir ein paar abmache, denke ich, ich bekomme eine kl. Belohnung.
On Monday Daisy-Mae got picked up by our daughter's 4H leader, because this week she will have the Evaluation for the County Fair and for that she had to be trailered to her old place. First she was a little skeptical and she stopped and acted like 'no way, I am not going on this thing' , but M. talked her through and very quickly she was on the trailer and ... gone. It is a strange feeling to not have her around, however, on the other farm is a big riding arena and many trails and horses and she has A LOT of fun there!! Enlarge the photos and see how Daisy trusts her owner!!
Daisy-Mae ist in Urlaub! Am Montag wurde sie von ihrem frueheren Besitzer abgeholt, damit sie diese Woche an der offiziellen Beurteilung u Zulassung zum Kreis-Wettkampf teilnehmen kann. Unsere Tochter wird sie naemlich in 3 Wochen auf einer Show zeigen u reiten. Daher ist sie nun in ihrem alten Stall, wo es ihr gut gefaellt, weil da eine grosse Reitanlage, fuer innen u aussen ist, und auch andere Pferde. Erst war Daisy etwas skeptisch, u es sah so aus als wuerde sie keinen Schritt weiter gehen, aber M. hat ihr gut zugeredet u ganz schnell war Daisy auf dem Anhaenger! Wenn man die Fotos vergroessert, sieht man, wie Daisy ihrer Besitzerin vertraut. Es ist ein komisches Gefuehl, dass das Pferd weg ist, denn immerhin war sie nun seit einem Jahr immer hier. Gut, dass sie bald wieder heim kommt!!

(I am up early this summer vacation morning, because my husband is on a business trip and the chickens made such a noise, they wanted OUT , so I had to get up !! :-) ...oh the farm life!)

Diese Biene ist an einem unserer vielen Beerenbuesche, schon eine Weile her, dass ich das aufgenommen habe.
Ich habe nun gesehen, dass wir dieses Jahr, dank der fleissigen Bienen, wieder mehr Aepfel haben.
The day before yesterday when I went for my walk I could finally take a picture of this beautiful bird. He is big! My bird book says they can get up to 19 1/2 inches! My heart was pounding when I tooks these photos, because not often did I see this bird and never so close by, since they don't come close to the house.
Vorgestern konnte ich endlich mal diese Art von Buntspecht fotografieren! Er ist gross! In meinem Vogelbuch steht sie werden bis zu 19 1/2 inches gross, das sind ca. 50 cm!
Mein Herz hat schnell geschlagen, als ich ihn so nah sah u die Aufnahmen machte. Es war aufregend, denn sie kommen nie nahe an unser Haus u ich hatte ihn noch nie so nahe gesehen.
